Vehicle description
183191993706 Velo Rosa Ferrari 250 GTO Spyder roadster tribute car for sale. Built on a 1976 Datsun 280z frame. The entire car was reinforced and tubed to make stiffer for a larger power plant in the future. Currently powered by a 1981 2.8 Liter L28 engine (F54 block with flattop/dished pistons, siamesed cylinders) and P79 Heads. Custom exhaust with Dual carbs. For all you turbo guys, this is the engine you are looking for, because this was the most powerful L-series engine. The F54 motors with the P79 heads have flat-top aluminum pistons. All others came with dished pistons. In a performance engine, flattop pistons create a higher-quench mixture and allow for higher performance combustion chambers. Dished pistons are usually used to lower emissions. The P79 heads have diamond-shaped exhaust ports with steel liners that heat red-hot to reduce emissions. Chamber volume (53.5cc). This is matted to a 5-speed transmission.
This car is a blast to drive, grabs attention everywhere. Great start if you want to put a larger power plant or just turbo the current L28, and get 400+HP. Shaved door handles, wire wheels with healthy rubber. No leaks, weird noises, or smoke. It can be driven anywhere. Serious inquiries only. No joy rides.
