Vehicle description
This 1962 Corvette was purchased new from Gene Crump Chevrolet on 6-19-1962 by William Paul Adams Jr. The color is a rare solid silver with red interior. It came with a 300hp 327 engine, a 4 speed trans, 308 ratio positive rear-n, see the original Bill of Sale picture for more info. Paul, according to NCRS was the 236 member of NCRS, he also was a member of SCCA Sport Car Club of America and raced TVR slaloms and rallies events. The trophies that are pictured are some of the races he ran, they will also come with the car. In 1964 the original engine was taken out of the car and a fuel injection unit and engine was installed. After years parked in his garage the fuel unit and engine was replaced with a period correct 327 block in 2017, see picture of invoice. The transmission is still the original 4 speed with the cars vin stamp on it. Acording to John, Paul"s brother and Estate Executor the car has never been painted. There is a crack in the RH front fender. The car has 78,652 miles showing on the odometer. Documents are original BILL OF SALE dated June 19 1962, tag registration from June 19 1962 till November 11 1968, service tickets starting July 13 1962, and Insurance statements starting with due dates July 26 1962. Paul Adams was an avid car collector. One of his cars he purchased new was a 1978 Silver Anniversary Corvette that had 4.1 miles when it was sold on Ebay in 2016, for a record 85,100.00 Dollars. Sadly Paul died in 2009 leaving the estate several collector cars to sell. This is a rare opportunity to purchase a documented one owner 1962 Corvette.
