I just bought this car but life just threw me a curve ball and I need to sell it. . .
Selling a unique rare and hard to find 1961 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 2 door bubble top. You see Impala bubble tops around but rarely an Oldsmobile! Amazing lines on this car. Originally from Idaho, I just shipped this car in from Arizona. Unbelievably solid! Only rust through I can find is the small areas on the quarters, bumpers and deck lid. Has a few dents.Comes with a solid replacement deck lid. Floors and trunk are rock solid. Original paint with patina! 394 with a 3 speed Slim Jim automatic. Car has 66,026 original miles as identified by title however odometer is sun damaged and hard to read. Car has not been on the road since 1973. Doors and hood close like new. Engine is free, was told it will run, but I have not tested it. Fiberglass fender skirts and Starfire door panels that can be used to replace the originals are included. Front windshield is cracked ($400 to replace) Comes with a new old stock fuel pump. Car needs full restoration, but it is an excellent platform to restore to original or make a resto-mod! My original plan was to rebuild the drivetrain and suspension, put a nice interior in it fix the rust spots and primer them to match existing primer. lightly scotch brite it and spray clear over all of the patina. Then set it nice and low on some Torq Thrusts with red line tires and then drive the hell out of it.
Whatever you decide to do, you are thousands ahead with this solid car! No floors to replace. No trunk to replace. Doors that close like a bank vault.
Clean Arizona title currently being transferred into a clean PA title in my name from the DMV. Deposit due within 24 hours of auction, but full balance not due till title comes. I will hold the car till the title comes.
