1961 Mercedes-Benz 220SEb Coupe (W111)
ULTRA-RARE EARLY PRODUCTION NUMBER.
Delivered in New York on November, 10th, 1961!
VIN # 111.021-10-017906
Karosserie # 111.021-10-00995
Exterior paint DB 050 White (weiss).
Red leather interior.
4-SPEED MANUAL transmission.
BECKER Europa radio, Hirschmann antenna.
Hand-built early production W111 Coupe with Ponton-era typical characteristics:
- VIN # stamped into the plate attached to the top of passenger side inner fender
- "Made in Western Germany" plate attached to the driver"s side inner fender
- cloth headliner
- BECKER Europa Ponton/190SL-Style radio
100% complete and numbers matching car!
The exterior paint is old and faded, it will have to be redone.
The front windshield is broken and will have to be replaced.
All the chrome trim is included and comes with the car (incl. F+R glass trim).
The undercarriage is the original one (never fixed or welded). Frame is solid, floors too. Some areas will require welding. The left side trunk wheel well floor will have to be replaced.
Red leather interior is the original factory one. Seats are strong and supportive, with no cracks, cuts or rips at all (seat covers are beautiful, they should be redyed).
Carpets should be replaced.
Headliner is an early canvas one. It is sagging and it should be replaced.
All lights, gauges and horn work the way they should.
Radio works, antenna goes up and down properly.
The gas tank and fuel lines have been cleaned.
The engine turns strongly. It starts with the help of starting fluid.
The fuel pump is bad, it should be replaced.
Clutch master cylinder and brake master cylinder should be replaced.
Original factory books/manuals (even the original radio manuals with imprinted serial numbers!), all 3 original factory keys, jack and spare tire are included and come with the car.
