Vehicle description
You are bidding on a 1960 MGA Roadster that has had a body off restoration. The frame has been sandblasted and painted, the body strippaaed to bare metal and painted with a modern base coat clear coat finish. The engine is original to the vehicle however during the reconditioning the serial number tag was lost. The car has been in our family since 1968 and has a clear title, only 58xxx miles show on the odometer.
The car is equipped with front disc brakes, 1600CC four cylinder engine, 4 speed manual transmission, and new chrome wire wheels. A new convertible top has been fitted and side curtains are included. The battery has been relocated to the trunk.
A weber carb has been upgraded with a new stainless steel exhaust system. The car runs, but needs someone to tune the new carb as it is running rich.
The heater/defrost has not been hooked up and the fuel gauge is not working, other than that lights and wipers are operational.
This car is 95% complete and just needs a little love to make it a fun daily driver. I am 6"4" and could drive the car when I was 16 but at 63, I don"t fit and need to move the car on to someone that can enjoy the English roadster as it was built to be driven.
The interior has new carpet and new vinyl seat covers from Moss Motors. Seat belts have been added.
