1960 Ford F 100 CUSTOM CAB, lifted suspension four wheel drive. Powered with a GM 350 which breathes through a Holly carburetor. The engine is strong and does not smoke or show any issues. Twin exhausts connect to each manifold. The transmission is a 4 speed automatic with a B&M Floor Shifter. Alloy wheels are mated with low mile B.F. Goodrich Rugged Terrain 31x10.5- OR-15LT 109R M+S tires. In addition to the seats in the truck, TWO leather bucket seats are included. They are full power seats, WITH HEAT, Lumbar support. head rests and feature a sliding stowage drawer under each seat. They are from an AUDI 280 I and correctly sized to be fitted in this truck. They include all the connectors. The in-cab fuel tank was removed and replaced with an aluminum 34 gallon fuel cell fitted securely in the truck bed. Twin bucket seats replace the original bench seat. A set of locomotive type air horns are fitted under the hood and will blow the trunk off of anyone in front of you. A very nice operating spot light is mounted on the driver side. The passenger side rearview mirror is missing; However, the mirror support post is good and all that is needed is a round mirror (same as on driver side) with a ball fitting and it can be fitted into the receiver post and secured with the retaining Allan screw which is still in the mirror support post. The F 100 is fitted with a heavy duty rear bumper with a trailer hitch receiver. The doors swing perfectly and latch tight and true. The forward passenger foot well under the hinge has a filler patch which needs to be repaired. (See photos) Drum brakes are on all four corners and presently the brake pedal feels low and may need fluid. There is no evidence of any brake fluid leakage. The emergency brake is not connected. The truck goes up the road straight and true with no front end or drive train issues. However, the steering wheel has some play in it. The body and bed of this F 100 are solid and in very good condition with only surface wear/patina on top surface of the bed deck. All the glass is in good shape although the windshield has slight fogging in the lower corner and evidence of wiper scratches. The heater works. The wiper linkage is disconnected from the drive motor and needs to be re-connected. The windshield wiper arms are removed but stowed in the truck. The wiper motor appears to be an electric replacement. A replacement ignition switch is fitted with a hidden kill switch for security and works perfectly. A tachometer is neatly fitted into the dash panel and works perfectly. The speedometer registers 15 mph high. Mileage shown on the speedometer registers 47219 miles. Stewart supply offers a GM to Ford adapter to correct the speedometer. The truck bed paint is a shade darker than the cab. With a good buffing the cab color should match much better. With some attention and in competent hands, I believe that this 1960 Custom Cab F 100 could double in value. With all that said. . Your questions are welcome 5742321965.
