Vehicle description

Please scroll down for more photos Volkswagen Rail Buggy Here"s a older show car, circa 1990 VW powered rail buggy for your consideration. I"ve stored this car indoors since 1993 and has had very little use in the past 25 years. It is street legal, it does run and drive with current tags and registration but will probably need a tune up, master cylinder rebuild and tires. It also has some push rod tubes that are leaking oil. This car was built to a very high standard in the 1990"s and has not been altered. If it"s not painted black, it"s chromed or polished aluminum. I believe the engine is a 1776cc with dual 44mm Webers It has a new alternator, late model bus ribbed transmission, O"Neal pedal system, turning brake, brake line lock, aluminum front beam, Centerline aluminum wheels, Chrome drums, hydraulic clutch, rack and pinion steering, aluminum gas tank. It is street legal with horn, turn signals, brake lights, license plate light and seat belts though one buckle is missing.
The chassis / frame has studs for the mounting of a windshield if desired.
Even with the older tune, the car has plenty of speed. The stinger has a baffle so it"s not obnoxiously loud.
Buyer will be responsible for making delivery / transportation arrangements. $1000.00 non refundable deposit will be required within 48 hours. And. . .I shouldn"t have to even bring this up but if you"re dreaming with no money, please don"t make an offer. I"m not interested in any trades. Thanks fellow car guys.
