up for sale/bid is a 1959 Ford retractable project with most work done already motor is a 390 completely rebuild, remand motor came from ATK, then had Edelbrock performer aluminum heads installed with matching intake, high flow water pump and thermostat installed along with a new 4 core radiator. new fuel lines run to a brand new fuel tank and sending unit, new power brake booster installed with master and new brake hoses. brakes still need to be bleed. motor starts on the fist turn and sounds great but will need exhaust pipes as there are none. tranny is the orig and shifts as it should. I have never driven this car but ran the motor through the proper break in procedure. body is solid. not prefect as you can tell from the pictures. some waves, dents and dings. paint is decent and needs to be wet sanded and buffed out. paint is an amateur job but looks really good, and a wet sand and buff will really bring it to the next level. car was put in a seler, then 2k high build then base and clear, PPG products. not perfect and does have imperfections but shows very nice. interior is orig and looks great, no rips in the seats, carpet is decent. dash is in great shape, headliner needs to be replaced. the trunk does open but does not close correctly, not sure if it is a limit switch or what. I never had the top down and I"m not sure if it works. so I"m selling it as the top is not operational. under the driver side door and the pass door the frame has some rot holes on the flat portion NOT the X portion, very easy fix and very common place for rust and rot, floors seem to be pretty solid, trunk pan does have some weak spots rust/rot but nothing that can not be fixed with a patch.inner rockers will need some work. car is 61 years old so it does have some rust and rot. Car is a project car but it is not that far off from driving down the road. almost 10k in the motor alone. car is a power car. power windows, seat, steering and brakes. power wipers the front power windows work as they should and the rear do no, I believe there is a bad fuse but never checked. power seat does work, wiper motor does work, clock, gas gauge, temp gauge all work. please look at all pictures and ask all questions before bidding or buying as all sales are final and vehicle is sold as is and where is with no warranty expressed or implied, this is a project car. front wheels in pictures do not come with the car, I have 2 original wheels that will be put on
