This skyliner has been in my family since new in 1959. 55,307 original miles. paperwork, documents and family photos back to 1959. Starts, runs and drives. Drivetrain is all original. Engine topend was done in 2000 and repainted a ford blue but it wasnt the correct green blue color that matches the air cleaner. (The topend was done because a lifter was sticking and making noise). 352 2 barrel engine with automatic trans. power steering. manual drum brakes. Interior is all original, driver seat base is showing slight wear, headliner has come unglued from the skyliner top section. The edges of the kickpanel edges have been chewed on my a mouse. Being from Illinois the car does have some rust. Bodywork and a factory white repaint was done in the 80"s sometime. Paint has chips, cracks and normal wear. there are some rust bubbles visible on the passenger side in front of the rear wheel. Electrical system works with no wear and no mice damage. My grandfather bought this 59 skyliner brand new from the dealership. ( he bought a new 57 skyliner but when he learned Ford would not make the skyliner after 1959, he traded his 57 in on this 59 so he could have the last year it was made instead of the first year.) This skyliner stayed in Illinois until 1990. I drove it back from Illinois to Arizona in 1990 with no mechanical issues. My parents drove it approx 500 miles in the 8yrs it was in Arizona. In 1998 I drove it from Arizona to Colorado.
