Up for sale is this 1959 Chevrolet Apache 31 project truck. This truck is a blank canvas for someone looking to build a nice Apache.
I was told this is a two owner Apache that has been sitting for a long time. I cannot confirm the number of owners. The truck does have typical rust and soft spots in common areas. Patch panels are readily available at a variety of suppliers online for the rust areas on this truck. The is rust in the lower cowls, bottom of the doors, a few spots in the floors/kick panels, corners, etc. but all rust areas are repairable and the truck is extremely buildable to the right buyer.
The truck has unique features like the rear step bumper and the front bumper with front cap guard. There was a winch within the front bumper at one point, but that is no longer in place nor available. The bed on the truck is very straight and solid for the years of sitting and it may have some original wood still left (not all boards are present).
The truck does have a V8 motor (believed to be a 283) but the specs and condition are unknown. The truck will not start in its current condition.
Take it completely apart and build a show truck, build a restomod with killer patina, or something in between. .this truck is ready for someone to give it new life. This truck is a great candidate for the right builder.
