This car was discovered just last year with this original 1957 sales receipt in its glove compartment . Since all these years the original engine had been swapped out and was converted to a 2 barrel carb 3 speed.. When I bought the car I worked real hard looking for a Correct code 283 1957 Engine in nice running condition that has not been reinstalled and comes with a correct 1957 4 barrel carb, Auto Steering column, Original Support bar , Automatic 1957 radiator Coded .. Original Rear Bumper replacement as the one on the car had been modified for trailer hitch .. Original grill bar with undamaged insignia ... Floor pan needs a professional replacement ..This is a Frame off project car is rare and worth big money restored ..I have access to a rebuilt correct factory Turbo Power Glade transmission & matching dual 57 carbs but extra $$” |

This is a Unrestored very rare factory mfg and ordered Dual Four Barrel Carburators V8 283 set up. Two door hard top Chevy Bel Air and comes with its original sales receipt listing all its factory options The chevy also has the original factory installed beefed up gas lines . no transmission with this offering but have a correct rebuit 57 Turbo power glide available. This car was discovered just last year with this original 1957 sales receipt in its glove compartment . Since all these years the engine had been swapped out and was converted to a 2 barrel carb 3 speed. I located and purchased a correct code 283 1957 rebulit Engine in nice running condition with a single 4 barrel intake and carb , Correct Automatic Steering column, Original Support bar , Automatic 1957 radiator Coded . Original Rear Bumper replacement as the one on the car had been modified for trailer hitch. Original grill bar with undamaged insignia . . Floor needs complete molded floor pan replacement for the best restoration and well worth it with this one . This car is now ready for a frame off restoration .
Here is what I have done . This car came with a Turbo Power Glide transmission when new but they are known for not holding up well when they came out and very rare to find still in the car . So no correct transmission in this one at the moment but can make one available to you for my cost as I do have one available to the buyer . Being when I originally bought this car it had a later 3 speed transmission the original Transmission linkage was not with it but will have it fabricated for the buyer with the use of another original linkage . I was told if restored properly this is a very rare car having the original paperwork documenting its factory dual four barrel carb set up and would be worth big money after a top shelf frame off restoration was completed ,, Feel free to discuss any details or questions . I have another project that is taking more money than I had planned or I would hold out and finish this restoration project and still will if the right person doesnt see my offering .
