Vehicle description

Up for sale is Marv’s beautiful 57 Chevy two door post. Marv is a hot rodding pioneer and the originator of the raked body Bantam, a trend that was adopted by many notable Southern California show car builders. Marv is the man, and this is his car! It’s a two owner, rust free, straight and solid so cal black plate car. It is a factory heater delete, no heat, no air conditioning. The Dusk Pearl paint is shiny and smooth. The interior is nice and clean and still has the original undamaged headliner. The factory glass is clear and very good. The chrome and trim is original and very nice, with some slight dings. Marv commissioned the legendary Elco Welding to go through and upgrade the running gear, bumper to bumper. Bob, the master builder at Elco, swapped in a brand new 290hp 350ci crate motor with all new GM parts. It has a Edelbrock manifold with Holley carb, and a new Edelbrock water pump. The transmission is a rebuilt Turbo 350 with shift kit. The chassis received new tubular A arms, new bushings, drilled and slotted front disc brakes, new steering column, new power steering box and pump, new power brake booster and lines. The rear end is rebuilt with new brakes, bearings, and emergency brake cables. New shocks all around. New stainless steel dual exhaust . The chassis is detailed and immaculate. All hardware is new, lots of attention to detail that is the Elco trademark. New tires on powder coated Rally wheels. Bob built this car to Marvs exacting standard, and it shows in both the appearance, and performance. It is impeccably clean outside, under the hood, and below. It fires right up, sounds tough, and performs impressively. Less than 100 miles on all the work. This is a rare opportunity to own an iconic car that is a meticulously executed collaboration of two of hot roddings legends.
