Vehicle description
The 57 Chevy 2 door hardtop is an icon in the car world, Prices keep going up and up. Aside from a few chop jobs you will NEVER see another one like this at a show or anywhere else. This 57 Body has been chopped 3" Channeled 3" Sectioned 3" and shortened 8" correct the wheel base, But as you can see the proportions are perfect shes just smaller. Now for the good part the 57 body is sitting on a 93 Z28 complete running, driving chassis. I have 57 Vin Plate and paperwork to register as a 57 Chevy. This Z28 was purchased as a rollover in Dec of 93" salvage paperwork included-it only has 7,004 miles on it. It has a fuel injected LT-1 350 with a 4L60E transmission automatic complete computerized wiring harness and brain. Power steering, Posi rear, 4 wheel power disc ABS brakes. Air-conditioning, Power Seats, 90% complete interior, Z28 column,Wheel Console, shifter and gauges, which will need mounting into 57 Dash. Hood was Modified with custom Cowl Induction hood scoop and directionals installed in the old Rocket Sockets. Both hood and trunk lid are operated through electronic actuators. The hood is reversed T-Bird style. The previous owner cut the body off the camaro retaining the entire chassis, suspension, floors, interior firewall and all stock wiring. He started to mount the 57 shell and soon realized how involved the project was going to be. the car sat in a heated garage for over 20 years until health issues made it impossible to continue. I bought the car and have completed it to its current point, it is not painted as i believe that will be for the new owner to decide. The only other remaining issues are Chrome and Glass, All of the window Chrome is included and a brand new UNCUT windshield. I estimate the Chrome and Glass to cost about $4500. The Body is 100% RUST FREE, all modifications plus bodywork are 100% complete with 2 coats of High Build primer. There are a few small projects to complete such as connecting sheet metal on the firewall and rear inner wheel wells, nothing structural. The engine ran a little rough when we first purchased it so we pulled the gas tank, had it cleaned, installed new fuel pump and both new filters, the fuel lines were blown out and we replaced all the injectors, and brand new spark plugs. It also has a brand new OPTISPARK unit and oil and all new filters. RUNS AND DRIVES LIKE A TOP. I feel the reserve is low enough for the new owner to complete her and have not only a great ride but a real investment. Thank you for looking, we welcome all inspections.
