Vehicle description
1957 Chevrolet Bel Air 2 Door Sedan - Vintage Drag Car Gasser Race - CLEAR TITLE
Car is in overall good shape for its age. Was converted into a drag car in the 70s. Has the original VIN tag on the driver"s door pillar. Car retains most of its original outer sheet metal, but is pretty much a bare shell with no wiring, glass (except windshield and back glass) etc. There is some minor rust in the rockers and in front of the inner rear wheel wells, but for the era it is not terrible. The front end has been pinned on and bolted together to make a 1 piece front end. It will need front support and possibly some other fastening as well. The firewall, floor and trunk have been cut out. Inner door panels and some other structure was removed and a roll cage added. Wheel wells have been radiused in the rear. Front end is a tubular straight axle. Rear end is from a Pontiac and I was told it was a spool with 5.86 gears. Most of the trim is intact and in good shape. This would be an excellent start to a vintage race car, restore or run as is with some updating. I have a clear AZ title in my name.
