This is one great All-American car! It was restored in Ohio a few years ago and I have had it in Austin Texas for the last couple. I have maintained its condition and character along the way with thoughtful consideration for drivability and originality. The exterior was treated to a rotisserie restoration being painted in a current Cadillac pearl Metallic white. The original color was white. Correct original interior fabric was sourced and used to rebuild and re-cover the seats. new carpets, headliner, etc. Exterior chrome was mostly redone, the interior chrome was left largely true to original. Mechanically it was rebuilt. original motor, transmission, rear end, brakes. True mileage is unknown but it has only gone about 3000 miles since restoration started. Recent work includes upgrade of the fuel system to an edelbrock bolt on 4 barrel fuel injection. Original carb was rebuilt and is in a box with the air cleaner. rebuilt water pump recently installed, electric powered windshield wipers, electric window motors replaced as necessary, aftermarket A/C installed, Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and wide white wall tires (original hub caps in great shape included). I drive it regularly on the weekends and it gets a lot smiles and thumbs up. It just makes people happy to see an iconic car from this era on the road. I would not be worried about taking it anywhere as it is very reliable and gets about 12 miles to the gallon on the highway. Huge trunk space and easily seats six. Stack of receipts for parts and service. Several hundred hours of labor. Take an adventure and bid to win.
