Vehicle description
Have owned this 1956 Nash for 21 years. It has always been in our garage since we bought it. All very good original condition. Starts up right away. All lights work, radio works, windshield wipers work. Upholstery was done 20 years ago, still clean and straight. Dash board is straight with almost no visible wear. Body is straight, no dents and no accidents while we have owned it.
Will take reasonable best offer OBO
Minor scratches that were amateur retouched (before we purchased it). Some rust on chrome, minor small bubbling rust on lower door sections.
Odometer does not worked so I do not know the mileage. In the 21 years that we have owned it, we have driven less then 500 miles (yes guessing, but once every 6 months we would take it out).
One thing that must be addressed is the front right coil has collapsed and needs replacing.
Over all, an excellent example of an original Nash.
Here are things we have done to our Nash in the last few years; *New battery & NEW (not rebuilt) starter motor (May 2018)
In 2013 *New Front Wheel cylinders *All New brake hoses *Rebuild 1 rear wheel cylinder, replace rear hub gasket *Flush & bleed brakes *New motor mounts *rebuilt carburetor *New thermostat gasket *Gas gauge does not work, but wiring and sending unit diagnosed as working (needs gauge) *New starter switch *Rebuilt Shifter assembly *Starter pull cable clean and lubed *New Shocks *Added front seat belts
All work was done by Nash Mechanic "Metropolitan Pit Stop" here in Los Angeles.
As well as tune ups and the usual maintenance, oil changes etc.
Will send additional photos upon request and answer any questions you might have :-)
We loved this car and will miss her, we have done our best to keep her in great shape!
The custom license plate will stay with us
Thanks for looking, David
