Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is a very rare 1956 Chevy 5700 L.C.F., with a clean transferable title.
The Cab is in very nice shape! The steps only have surface rust. The floorboard is in good shape except a small spot on the drivers wheel well and a small split where the top of the passenger step meets the floorboard, both easy fixes. There is a small spot starting to rust over the corner of the windshield. There is some damage to the drivers door and right front fender, both of which I believe can be fixed. Both doors have rust on the bottoms, but because of the location of the rust and the angle of the door bottoms, I believe that they can also be fixed. The glass is all good except the drivers wing window. The metal around the back window is completely rust free.
The 265 is complete minus the generator. It currently doesn"t run. The previous owner told me that they were able to spin it by hand. I tried and could not, (I never claimed I was a tough guy), and there is not a way to put a socket on the crank. The negative battery cable is missing so i can"t roll it over with the starter. The tires hold air and all the wheels turn.
These are really cool trucks that are becoming VERY hard to find! This thing would look great as a car hauler, or put a box on the back and us it as a pickup.
