1955 Chevrolet Bel Air 4-door sedan that has been in the family for the past 16+ years. It really pains me to sell this but life has changed, focuses have changed, and it is time to move on. This is a super solid, very fast, head turning car that gets waves and thumbs up no matter where you go. Engine/Transmission/Rear end -Scott Shafrioff Real Street Lite, "All Aluminum" 540 BBC 625 HP/640 TQ crate motor ($15,995.00) motor has no more than 5k miles on it. -Weiand 6-71 (18 percent under driven) blower with dual 4 barrel double pumper 950 cfm carburetors with 2 velocity stacks -GM TH400 (turbo 400 transmission) Transmission has race clutches and steels, blue-printed high flow front pump, upgraded forward auto valve body, hd sprag assembly with steel drum, aftermarket deep transmission pan and a 32" double bent shifter -Rear end is a Chevrolet 12-bolt with a Detroit locker rear end (unsure of gearing) -Speedway straight axle front end with power disc brakes-the front end was recently upgraded with re-arched springs, new ball joints, king pins. The rear springs were also re arched and i added a leaf to stiffen the rear end. The car is straight under heavy acceleration. -Aluminum radiator, replaced thermostat cooling system last flushed in 2017 -MSD ignition and blaster coil -Single amp alternator -upgraded high torque mini starter -Magna Fuel Pump (850hp rating) with steel braded fuel lines-pump mounted under rear bumper. Fuel tank modified to allow said fuel system to work properly. Fuel switch next to steering wheel
Exterior: The body was last painted 2005-2006 with single stage silver and white for the roof. The body shows well for a 1955 but is not perfect. The rear passenger-side door has been repaired in the past ( not since ive owned it, please see pics) The inner frame appears to be bondo but that has not changed, cracked, anything in all my years of owning it. The outside door skin has some rust bubbling but again, has not changed since owning it. The windows are all original, all roll up and down, all window trim is old and dated but works fine for what it is. Over all for the year I would rate the body a 8/10. I had some pin striping done on various parts of the body.
Interior: Interior was completely redone with new gloss black high quality vinyl on all door panels, front and rear seat. Both seats were rebuilt with new cushions and springs. New black carpet, aftermarket radio with 4 speakers, aftermarket steering wheel, gauges and tachometer. The original dash does not work but illuminates when lights are turned on. Car has no wipers.
Exhaust: Headers into a 3.5" dual x-pipe exhaust with a pre axle dump-sounds absolutely amazing
Wheels: I cant remember the wheels but I believe they are aluminum Cragar with slicks on the rear and treaded tires in the front.
