Vehicle description
This very special automobile has received a thorough and comprehensive off-frame restoration; many parts were gathered from various parts of the country over a long span of time. It is equipped with the correct 359 cubic inch “Inline 8 cylinder L-Head” engine (believed to be THE best engine model Packard ever built) and it is equipped with a Carter 4-bbl carburetor. The engine is rated at a respectable 212 horsepower. Backing up the peppy powerplant is a 3-speed manual column-shift transmission w/overdrive. Noted for their reliability, quality, and opulent styling, Packard’s came equipped with upscale creature comforts such as power steering, power brakes and a power top as found on this particular model. It is very road worthy and comfortable. Inside the cabin, luxury is found everywhere one looks. Some features that catch the eye at first glance-the vibrant red and white interior upholstery, the AM Radio (w/power antenna) and the dual front and rear heating system just for starters. This luxurious automobile rides on its correct 8.20X15″ bias-ply tire wide whitewall tires and is a magnificent joy to drive!
