Vehicle description
1954 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210. 1954 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan
Here is the short story on this car - A complete restoration, everything done to original spec, turn key show/driver, ready to tour and enjoy.
More details:
The 1953-54 Chevys have noticed a marked increase in collector interest in recent years. Thanks to Jesse James and his special custom 54, the collector car world has taken a much more serious look at these models - especially ones restored to original spec. This is one of the best of those. There is very complete documentation with progress pics and receipts.
Since 2013 over 23k has been spent bringing this dry rust free Arizona back to show room shape. The paint is show/ driver quality - a bare metal repaint in Certs green over white - its original color. Chrome is excellent and original (see notes below about flaw in one area) Six cylinder Blue Flame Engine completely overhauled and painted to original spec, 2 speed auto completely rebuilt, brakes - all components new and perfect.
The upholstery in perfect condition done with all factory correct material - STUNNING! The radio is a reproduction upgrade to blue tooth capability while retaining the original look. The original radio is also included for the purist! The wide white tires are in near new condition with less than 2k miles since installation. The glass is clear and perfect, installed with all new rubber. Exhaust is new and perfect.
This car is 100% sorted for road touring. It starts instantly, accelerates briskly, stops with certainty, and looks lovely from every angle. It does not overheat while driving in the Arizona summer. Heater works great. Car has been converted to 12 volt for ease of use and repair. This car has been registered in Cochise County AZ since new.
Disclosure of concerns and flaws:
There are some paint chips on the edge of the drivers door - visible when door is open The gas gauge is reluctant to register despite new sending unit. There is a chrome chip on the front bumper near the overrider The car would benefit from a thorough detailing, dust is present from regular driving.
I am listing this for my friend who is not familiar with Ebay, but have inspected this car myself extensively. Upon close of auction I will provide copy of title and pic on VIN on car for verification. Deposit due in 24hrs - $2000. Balance will be paid to owner with bank transfer. We will assist shipper with loading, but arrangements are buyers responsibility.
