1954 Chevrolet Townsman Station Wagon Same family owned since 1962 Original Paint and Interior This was stored for many years inside Incredibly solid wagon- orig undercoating is there Only dogleg on rear wheels by door has rust, and bottom of drivers rear quarter. Floors are remarkable Tailgate has rust on very bottom- works perfectly We sanded the paint down to remove some primer the last owner had put on to prevent rust The car received a semi gloss clear coat to prevent rust and to preserve the original paint and patina The motor was frozen when I purchased it. Originally had 216 with powerglide transmission. I purchased a 1956 Chevrolet 235 with powerglide transmission and rear end. We had a new driveshaft custom made. All brakes were redone- master, wheel cylinders, lines and hoses Radiator was flushed and inspected. Some new grille teeth, turn signal bezels, and turn signal lights installed. Converted to 12 volt, one wire alternator. Carb rebuilt. All new wires, cap, rotor, coil, battery, and wiring. Bulbs installed. The interior is in incredible original condition- seats, door panels, dash, rear rubber and chrome. I have never seen such an incredible preserved interior New gas tank, sending unit and steel straps, along with new fuel line. I have a new carpet set in green. Exhaust was purchased from a vendor NOS- pipes and muffler Wheels are 14" 1957 Chevrolet with hubcaps I also have the original 15" wheels with hubcaps to include I have the original heater, valve cover, and many more small misc parts I will include Dash is really outstanding- guages, steering wheel beautiful.
The pass rear door window was cracked and we put a golf ball cut in half in the window- our personal inside joke
