Vehicle description
Finished in bold red with black interior, and top, the MG TD Roadster presented here is a fantastic driving example. This car has been loved and cared for by a single owner for the past 20 years and was restored prior to his ownership. During the restoration process, the car was repainted, the engine was rebuilt, it was fitted with a new interior, all the chrome has either been repaired or replaced, all the rubber and seals were replaced with new, and all mechanical elements of the car were serviced. The car runs and drives great, as you would expect from a car that has been well looked after. The engine is the original, matching numbers unit with the octagon tag in place. The exhaust is stainless steel and recently replaced. The body is solid and rust free. The doors fit properly and close correctly. While the paint is older and shows some minor signs of age and use, it still shines nicely and presents well. The top is serviceable, shows a few flaws and some shrinkage but looks good and the window is clear. The chrome is bright and sharp. There is a full compliment of side curtains included. The undercarriage and chassis are clean and rust free. The leather is supple and shows well with very little evidence of wear. All of the instruments work correctly and have a nice, original appearance. The banjo, 3 spoke steering wheel was recently replaced and looks brand new. Even the jack and tools are still in the carrier. There is also the original accessory heater included with the car but not currently installed. Some of the photographs shown were taken prior to the windshield wipers being re-installed. They are on the car now. Nicely detailed and mechanically sorted, this is a truly lovely example of a British classic and would be a fine addition to any collection. Please ask your questions prior to bidding. I"m happy to provide additional pictures as well as provide a real time video conference tour of the car. We encourage personal inspections and will do our best to accommodate your schedule. This car is being sold "as is, where is" and without warranty of any kind. The buyer is responsible for all transportation costs but I am happy to assist with arrangements and can do so for domestic or international destinations. Please note our 100% feedback rating and ebay sales dating back over 20 years.
