Vehicle description
Up for auction is a Farm Fresh 1953 Ford F-100 50th anniversary pick up truck. Last year for the legendary flathead V8!
This is an amazing original survivor. Fresh tune and she fires immediately when you hit the push button start. Runs awesome! Probably one of the smoothest and quietest running flat heads you will ever see!
The truck is very complete and has mostly a mix of original paint and old brushed on touch ups. Has the old wood stake boards still in place and clever farm fixes. Some of the original wood remains in the bed but I have covered it with a piece of OSB. There is plenty of dents, scratches, rust and character! There is some rust in the floors, and some in the running boards and other areas. When I first bought this truck I had plans to restore it but it"s such an original survivor I just couldn"t bear the thought of it. They are only original once!
The truck has the original flathead V8, 3spd drivetrain. Runs, drives, stops and steers like an old original truck. Engine starts easy and sounds great. Amazingly smooth and quiet for a 66 year old truck! The transmission shifts well, but the cutch may need some attention in the long term. I have been driving around my property and have had no issues with it. I replaced the original painted hubcaps and installed a beautiful set of original polished Ford hubcaps and painted the wheels red. It really sets it off nicely! The originals will be included with the truck.
Interior is original. Gauges are all present, but not all of them are functioning. The seat is in good condition, and has been reupholstered at some point. Accessory heater is not hooked up, but controls are still mounted. Glass has some cracks and holes etc. and passenger glass would need replacing but I chose not to molest it.
Overall, this is a great running driving project truck that is a great example of a by-gone era. It could be restored or just enjoy it for what it is. It has a great patina, that I wouldn’t dream of touching. Truck has a clear MI title. Feel free to call or text at 517-seven19three774.
Thanks!
