Vehicle description
This 1951 Custom Mercury is finished in an old Skool flat black paint, formally a four door sedan, the customization was done by the previous owners 30 plus year ago and this seller has owned for six years and reliably driven about 3,000 miles.
Powered by a 350 chevy small block with a 350 automatic turbo transmission, this drive train is strong and its shifts smoothly. Work performed has been a complete tuneup, fluid changes, brake pads, new gas tank, etc., normal operating temperatures and never over heats, as a side note, after five months in storage on a battery tender started right up with the auto choke operating as designed.
The frame is structurally sound, while the body and its modification are far from perfect, The rear section/bumper area has been modified as shown and from what I"m told, the "all metal work" in this area was done nicely. The bubble-skirts are fiberglass.
The manual convertible top is operable and presentable, it"s take two ratchet straps to secure it, There is no side glass.
The interior is simple with two bucket seats adjustable and a bottom seat placed in rear, it has a Kenwood KDC-X898 receiver, Amp, speakers a sub woofer trunk hidden, all lights, blinkers, dash (water temp, oil pressure and voltage) currently working.
I"ve done my best to describe this custom accurately, however if you are interested please come by and take for a drive.
In closing I offer the following, this car is reliable, I would not hesitate to drive long distance as I have, be reasonable on your offers, I"m not needing to sell, looking to change it up, Trades considered, Flathead fords, roadsters, hi-boys, 60"s Lincolns and Harley Davidsons.
Buyer pays shipping, I will coordinated.
