Vehicle description
About this vehicle This 1951 Chevrolet 3100 is an original. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle needs work and is mainly used for weekend drives. Vehicle Details This is a 1951 Chevy 3100 flat bed. I bought it from a farmer who kept it shedded. Odometer shows 45,000 and I believe that to be true. We used to drive this thing around the block with the kids and had a lot of fun with it. When my middle son reached 13bwe decided to semi restore it. I wanted to make it so he could drive it and at the same time preserve it for when he got older. First thing we did was srip all the main parts off the engine. Everything was running fine until we sunk a float so I decided to just replace all the main components while we got the carb rebuilt. I had the carb overhauled, bought a rebuilt starter, rebuilt generator, new fuel pump, had the radio repaired, was going to either flush or replace the radiator. I bought a new wiring harness which is partially installed. Spent idk how much and had the seat recovered. As you can see I had lots of extra parts, interior parts. I put epoxy resin with fiberglass sheeting inside the cab corners to try and control the small amount of rust on them. It’s all stock and never been abused. Fast forward to today and my son and I talked and decided to sell it if we can get a good price. Since it has sat a while I pulled all the plugs, sprayed some lube down each cylinder, mounted the new starter and it rolled over just fine so it’s not locked up. Plugs look good you can see it was a clean burning engine. Only body damage it has is the dent on the passenger side fender that I put there backing into it. Otherwise look at that patina! This is just a perfect truck for someone that wants a good stock foundation project to start with. Clean clear title. You will have to pick up in Wichita, Kansas with a trailer. This will be listed on other sites as well. I have more pictures and a video of the Engine turning over, upon request. Exterior Interior Engine Download the Motors app
