Sold as a mid-year upgrade for $1490 the 1950 Willys Jeepster VJ-673 was only 1 of 1779 to be produced with the Lightning 6 cylinder engine. Other upgrades included a redesigned dash, grill and rounded front fenders with a peak. Produced from 1948 to 1950, the Jeepster was last sold in early 1951. The Willys-Overland company and the Jeep trademark were ultimately sold to Kaiser in 1953.
