1949 Ford F1 series
Farm fresh, rock solid original pick up. AUTHENTIC PATINA! Flathead V8 (starts/runs smooth and is dead quiet) 3 speed floor shift (shifts great) Strong 12V charging system with GM alt. All 5 original matching 16" wheels. Also including the original beauty rings.
Starts immediately! NO SMOKE! Runs and drives excellent! ! Shifts smooth in and out of all gears.
Truck is a lot of fun and dependable to be driven daily!
Many new items:
*Brake system at all 4 corners, lines, hoses and master cylinder. *Brand new OEM style aluminum 3 core radiator *New side window felt guides (smooth operation) *Original fuel tank removed, blasted, lined, painted and reinstalled *Original seat completely restored *New 6.50-16 Power King tires *New plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser and belts/hoses *New fuel pump assembly *Dual exhaust system *Steering stabilizer
Headlights (Hi/Low), marker lights, tail and brake lights all work. Stock gauges (oil/temp/amp/fuel) all work. Speedo/odometer did work but needle is bad. Original (HOT) heating and defrost system works great!
Bumps, dings, scratches, small rust spot here or there and 1 bullet hole. Drivers stake pocket bottom rusted and a small place on the running board just below it. Also, the front fenders had some seam rust that new steel was welded in and replaced, red oxide primed and left alone. NO filler, just steel. Video will show.
Honestly it looks absolutely fantastic exactly the way it is.
You will be VERY hard pressed to find a nicer, more solid "49 Ford F1 that you can drive and enjoy. This is an attention magnet so don"t be in a rush at the gas station.
Selling for a really good friend with serious health issues. History of the truck: Truck came to Indiana from the original owners Ohio dairy farm in 2007. Has been here in 1 mans garage ever since.
