Seller"s Notes $500.00 PayPal deposit required within 48 hours of auction end. Vehicle Details 1949 Chevy pickup built in "Rat Rod" style. The little pickup that we call "War Baby" was built 10 years ago. It has been driven over 60,000 miles during that 10 year time span. Being driven (never trailered) it's been to Virginia, Myrtle Beach, Florida, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Tennessee - all for fun times. By 2020 "War Baby" had earned a makeover and it spent 5 months in the shop being renovated and refined. Since its "makeover" War Baby has traveled 500 trouble free miles, with that testing and tuning War Baby is ready for the next owner to enjoy. This truck was built by a prominent custom car builder and custom motorcycle builder in America. Cab and hood and frame is originally a 1949 Chevy pickup but that's where the ordinary stops. War Baby has too many handmade details to name them all but a few are: - 6" chop top - tilt nose front end - handmade headers - hand twisted steel interior door pulls, shift lever and turn signal lever - custom fabricated dash panel with Autometer gauges - custom fabricated glovebox insert with Bluetooth stereo, 12v charging ports and controls for heater/defrost - one off steel wheels manufactured for War Baby and powder coated Kandy Green - custom fabricated bed with genuine PBR Stainless Steel "keg" style fuel tank - hand pinstriping, lettering and art by Michael Hall all old school brush work Functionality is very important to us with a custom car. If it's going to be enjoyed it has to work! - 351 Windsor completely balanced and blueprinted by Boyd Allen of Schumacher's Racing Team fame. A complete build sheet will convey with sale. C6 transmission, 9" Ford rear 3.55:1 ratio - air bag front suspension - 12v battery in battery box - wiring harness with 14 fused circuits - electronic ignition and Tuff Stuff charging system - aluminum radiator and external transmission cooler - functioning turn signals and brake lights and headlights - simple keyed ignition switch - simple column style transmission shifter - power disk / drum brakes - rear view and side mirrors - GPS speedometer and odometer War Baby is not a garage queen. The Kandy Green you see is all show level powder coat that will last a long time. The darker green paint is original to the 1949 Chevy pickup, the antiqued red tones are all industrial coatings meant to take a beating and scream "rat rod". War Baby can not be defined in a single category, it is a Hot Rod, it is a great Cruiser, take a glance and it is a Rat Rod, it is tough enough to race and beat on yet friendly enough to go through a Starbucks drive through window. War Baby has ran the rural back roads and been cruised in parades and blasted hundreds of miles on the interstates.
