Vehicle description
This a very nice solid 1948 Pontiac Silver Streak. This car has been in heated storage for at least 10 years. The owner of the car has passed away and I have been asked to sell it for the widow. The car has a clean title. I am not familiar with the history of this car, but will tell you everything I have found with the car, good and bad. The car is solid. I have been able to start the car with a small auxiliary gas can. I feel the fuel tank should be cleaned due it sitting for so long. When started, the car sounds good, smoked some at startup, but seemed to start to clear after running a few minutes. From sitting so long, the brake pedal goes to the floor and the car has no brakes. All exterior lights work as they should except the turn signals. I did find a blinker fuse in the car, not sure if the previous owner intended to install to fix the turn signals. The headliner is nice, dash is nice. glass is intact. The front and back seat have moth holes in them. Also, there was evidence of mice in the car and there is an odor, so it will need a good cleaning. Exterior paint is the original paint and shines up very well but there is crazing over the whole car (see photo) from age. The chrome is excellent and no pieces are missing.
