Vehicle description
1948 Ford Deluxe Ute $30,000
These utes are getting rare, but to find one in this condition is even rarer. This is an original 19000 mile survivor that has been shedded all its life. It is completely original, with only blinkers & a temp guage and 6 volt fuel pump (only used to prime for easy starting ) being non original added items. Obviously it also has a new tarp also. This ute spent most of its life in outback western NSW and is a good dry , rust free vehicle. It has original paint, with sunburnt patina and original trim. It drives exceptionally well and I have no hesitation in driving it on 100-200 km runs and it would drive anywhere if treated with respect for its age . It was driven to geelong and return for a Ford reunion not so long ago. The original sidevalve engine ticks over beautifully and the gearbox and diff all work well , and it has suprisingly little play in the steering box. It can be driven around as is or stored away, as it will only increase in value in the future. You get any amount of restored cars but original survivors are hard to find. I am only selling as I am downsizing and wont have as much room to store cars and this gem needs to be undercover. This is an Australian only model and was known as a Utility Vehicle ans hence the shortened name Ute. These vehicles are becoming rare in this country , especially in this original condition. I have contacts that can arrange importation into the USA and all relevant paperwork to help with shipping
