Vehicle description
I have for sale a 1941 Chevrolet special deluxe sport sedan. The car is all original sporting the factory 216 six cylinder and 3 speed manual with factory vacuum assist shifting. The interior is also all original but will need to have the seats recovered as they"re almost 80 years old. The car runs and drives and I take it to as many shows as I can make when I"m off. The car drives great and as it should. The only issue the car has is the block has a crack in it above the oil pan that a previous owner has put jb weld on that has for the most part fixed the coolant leak. The car will get hot after extended highway speeds greater than 60 mph and coolant will bubble out of the crack until it cools off. Other than that I have never had an issue out of the car. The wheel cylinders and shoes were replaced by the previous owner and they work well. The previous owner had he car tagged and registered since the late 90"s which explains why the car is in as good of shape as it is. The floor pans are solid as a rock with no rust holes on the body. The only spot where there"s rust is the spare tire well which is pictured. The 3 pieces of glass on the drivers side pictured all have a crack in them. The car has 16 inch wheels with Coker classic bias ply tires that appear to be fairly new and in good shape. I had a single exhaust system with a glasspack installed in the car from the manifold back as the original system was rusted it gone. The wiper motor is vacuum and was unhooked when I got it and I"ve never messed with it so I don"t know if it will need a new motor or not. The car is still the original 6 volt with all gauges in working order. All in all this is a good running and driving car that has been good to me. It would make a good original piece or a good candidate for a 235 engine swap and some custom touches. If you have any other questions my description didn"t answer or the pictures didn"t show don"t hesitate to ask I can email more pictures upon request. $500 min-refundable deposit required from the winner within two days of the auction close with full payment due within 7 days. Buyer is responsible for shipping and I can not hold the car for several weeks waiting for a shipping company to come pick it up as I"ve had happened in the past. Thank you for looking.
