Here"s a very nice 1941 Chevrolet Coupe street rod. This car was built in the early 1990"s and is an excellent example of a high quality build from that period. It checks all the boxes, early Budnik billet wheels, billet everything on the motor, early Budnik billet steering wheel, tweed interior, power windows, LED shift indicator, Mustang 2 front end (the crossmember is an actual Mustang 2 and the control arms are tubular), disc brakes all the way around, 350 with a 700R4 and a Ford 9" rear axle. And dig the neon pinstripes! It even has an NSRA safety sticker from 1996.
This car was purchased after sitting for a long time, we installed a new fuel tank, new carburetor, new radiator, new hoses and belts, new tires, new rotors & pads, new master cylinder, new rack & pinion and new fuel pump. Its a remarkably solid car, always been in California. It drives exceptionally well, in fact I drove this car daily in Los Angeles traffic for over a month while i was waiting for my new Porsche to be delivered. Paint is very presentable with some light checking on the front drivers side fender. Everything works, all the gauges, the horn, the LED shift indicator, the neutral safety switch, power windows, radio (with cassette player), everything. The car never runs hot, motor makes great oil pressure. Fly in and drive home.
This would be an excellent car to buy and cruise tomorrow. or very easy to update to a more current look by polishing off the pinstripes, changing to a set of body color steel wheels, and installing a stock bench seat with tuck and roll vinyl.
