Vehicle description
1940 Ford Pickup. All steel body, slight rust in bottom-rear corners of cab. 302 motor with Ford AOD (automatic over drive) transmission. Original Mustang II front end (circa 1978), Ford 9" rear end. I have all fabric and foam for the interior, including Wise Guys seat frame installed in cab. Working A/C and heat. Disc brakes in front, drums in rear. Actual mileage is unknown and noted on title.
The picture with the fender removed was when I was running new brake lines. I included it so you can see more of the engine compartment.
Engine: 302 from a 1974 Maverick
Transmission: Ford AOD post 1985
Differential: Ford 9" with NoSpin Detroit Locker and 3.89 gear ratio
Clean title in my name.
I bought this truck in 2018 from an estate. I drove it home and tinkered with it for a few weeks then was hit with a divorce. I lost interest and it has been sitting in the Arizona sun ever since. I tried to start it recently but it doesn"t fire up. It turns over but no spark.
