| “This is an all metal car. A patch panel has been welded, but not finished, on the drivers door and new door hinges installed on the drivers side. The car runs and drives, but needs work on the fuel system and could use a tune up. The starter needs a shim removed to ensure that it always properly engages the flywheel. This is a great car and has been kept inside since the 50’s, so there are no serious rust issues. There is surface rust on the floor boards, but it is minor and can be easy cleaned and finished. The car was last painted and upholstered in the 1980’s, and could use new carpeting. The top mechanism works well. The top was last replaced in the 1960’s. All of the car’s glass is intact. Most of the rubber does need replaced. A new firewall liner was installed recently.” |

About this vehicle This 1940 Ford Deluxe Convertible is a modified vehicle. The owner has had it for 5+ years. The vehicle is drivable. Seller"s Notes This is an all metal car. A patch panel has been welded, but not finished, on the drivers door and new door hinges installed on the drivers side. The car runs and drives, but needs work on the fuel system and could use a tune up. The starter needs a shim removed to ensure that it always properly engages the flywheel. This car has been in our family since the 50’s and has undergone several restoration efforts since. Currently, the car has a rebuilt SB Chevy 350, new electronic ignition, 650 double pumper carb., new electric fuel pump, TH350 transmission, 10 bolt Chevy rear end, dual leaf spring kit installed, new shocks, cross member has been replaced with a transmission mount / tunnel to allow for open driveshaft installation, new driveshaft, original front end, split wishbones, front disc brakes, new front spring shackles, new drag link, new brake cylinder, newer aluminum radiator, new running boards, newer grille, original bumpers, new chrome trim on hood, new side trim, new rubber at wing vents, new window regulators, converted to 12 volt system, new battery, newer 15” tires, 30 year old upholstery, 35 year old paint, and older top.
