This auction is for a vintage Texas hot rod. A 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe. Th is vehicle is as found sitting for decades here in Texas.
1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe - Somebody"s hot rod that looks as though it was built in the 60"s possibly. Surprisingly good body for its age but will need extensive restoration to build it. Engine appears to be a 1959 era 230 hp 283 with a powerglide? behind it. Dana 44 rear end 1955-56 era possibly. Deluxe grill is surprisingly straight too only missing a few trim strips. Tons of body side molding in the trunk. Still has a straight axle front end with an old style split wishbone setup. Bottom of frame looks good but cannot see the entire frame. Will need floors for sure. Good visible serial numbers on the frame.
