Vehicle description
1939 Ford Deluxe 2 Door Sedan. This car was built in the early 90"s with the Resto-Rod / Street Rod Style. The builders started out with a very solid example of a 2 door sedan. The body of this car is very presentable and still shows shows well, but has the typical imperfections of a driver. I believe that the paint on the body, hood, trunk lid is original. The paint still shines well but has some patina from years of polishing and use. The car has been pinstriped to match the interior. All the factory Deluxe trim is in very good condition. The interior has the original front split bench seat and bench rear seat that is upholstered in red pleated vinyl. The carpet is dark red and the trunk area is carpeted to match. The interior is very tasteful and timeless. The dash and interior trim is the original wood grain finish and looks pretty good. The frame is original "39 Ford and has a Chassis Engineering Split Wishbone kit in the front with a Dropped Magnum axle and reversed eye spring. The rear suspension is a Posie parallel leads with tube shocks on all four corners. Rear axle is a 9" Ford with a new Moser 3:00 carrier. Car also has power steering and power disc brakes. The engine is a stock 305 Chevrolet with cast iron exhaust manifolds and a stock 4 barrel intake with a Quadrajet carburetor. Transmission is a Turbo 350 with a Lokar 23" shifter. Ignition is Pertronix in a stock GM distributor and the cooling system uses a BeCool radiator and an Edelbrock Victor Jr. aluminum water pump and electric fans. Painless Performance wiring harness. Steering column is a GM tilt with cruse control and banjo steering wheel. All exterior and interior lights work as they should. One rear passenger window glass is cracked as well as some delamination on both driver and passenger windows. New 15" Crager wheels with tires having approximately 8000 miles on them. The car has been driver quite often and taken to the Bomneville Speed Week in 2013 from Oak Ridge Tn. Very nice example of a well built, reliable car that can be driven and enjoyed. I will be adding more pictures this evening of the interior and engine bay. Thanks for looking and please don"t hesitate to ask any questions you may have. Johnny.
