Primarily used for shows and only driven 1279 miles since the restoration was complete in the mid-1990"s. It still looks great and there are no signs of ‘crow’s feet’ anywhere in the paint. All of the glass and sliding plexiglass are in perfect operating condition and show no bubbling or cracks. The 221 c.i./85 h.p. Ford V-8 Flathead engine retains its period correct and original aluminum heads and intake manifold. The 6-volt charging system was retained and works perfectly. There are no mechanical issues and the Wagon starts, drives, shifts, and handles great. It should be noted that in 1938 the Deluxe model wagon had some upgrades from the basic and prior years models. This includes the ‘banjo’ style steering wheel, ‘Artillery’ style steel wheels, the first year for a glass rear window, spare tire mounted behind the driver’s seat, and a locking glove box. Additionally, this ‘Woody’ Wagon had hydraulic or ‘juice’ brakes added which makes it easier and faster to stop. I am listing this vehicle as a representative (broker) for the owner.
