Vehicle description
Up for sale is a 1937 ford coupe. We pick this car up in Michigan in 2016. It was built in the late 60’ to mid 70’s. It is a true street car, not a modern representation. It is a ford hotrod with a ford motor. It has a FE 390 with long tube headers and a C6 built tranny. It runs good and drivers decent. It has an early lacquer paint job and was reshot in lacquer over the original paint, probably in the 90’s. You can see checking thru the last paint job. It has some paint repairs and some chipping, but overall it looks good for its age. Since we have owned it, we have replaced these parts. Front spindles, new front disc brake kit, pitman arm, tie rod ends, front shocks, steering shock, brake booster and master cylinder and purporting valve. It does need a front end alignment. There were some electrical issues with the lights, so it has a new light switch and all lights re-grounded. In the interior, it has T bird seat and a nice stereo with rear amp, put in, in the 90’s. Gauges work. The steering wheel is mounted off center to the left a bit. This was due the long tube headers. The brake master cylinder is mounted toward the rear of the frame, also due to the headers. The brakes work well. The frame X member was removed back in the day and they added cross members and drive shaft loops. Back in the day they also changed it over from single buggy spring front and rear to twin springs in the rear and front along with a drop tube axle. The motor got a new MSD box and plug wires, along with a tune up. I don’t have much knowledge about the motor or cam, but it runs good. The radiator works good and the motor runs cool. It is a bit wide, that is why the hood sides are not on it. But they are nice. It also has a new set of mufflers. All 4 finders are glass. We haven’t done any work on the rear, due to it works. It has a ford 9”. It did get new rear tires. The fronts are good. I raced it at the Texas Nostalgia Nationals in Dallas last year and it ran well enough to make it to the semi finals. It is a lots of fun. I have too many cars, so this one needs to go. I am not a flipper and believe in full discloser. It is for sale not on Sale. If more pictures are wanted, I can send you a file. The buyer is responsible for arranging shipping. I am not up for trades and need no help selling it.
