Vehicle description
1935 Ford Pickup, fully restored and completed in early 2014. Total body off restoration. It is mostly original. Engine is a correct 1935 motor with new babbit poured and rebuilt completely. During the rebuild, the block was modified to allow an oil filter to be installed. Also rewired to 12 VDC, replaced generator with an alternator and distributor with an MSD electronic unit - no more points to adjust. The original distributor comes with it and is in good condition. Also added thermostats to the cooling system. Transmission is the standard 3 speed manual unit.
While the Coca Cola emblems are not original, they add to the fun experience of an old classic pickup. The pickup is the favorite wherever it is seen, turns heads everywhere and is fun to drive. Regularly maintained, it now has 4,801 miles on it and the engine et al should be good for at least 50,000 more.
We have a lot of pictures of the restoration and will share them all with the buyer.
On Nov-22-18 at 09:25:34 PST, seller added the following information: 11/22/18 I just added a few pictures as 12 are free. A few more details of interest: -The 4801 miles on the odometer of course are the miles since the restoration. I have no idea how many total miles are on it since 1935.
-We did go through all the brakes, wheel bearings, new shackles, tie rod ends, etc as needed. -Front shocks are original style. The rear shocks are new modern small truck shocks. -Front bumper is from a 1935 car, in reasonable shape, and has some missing chrome in a few spots. -1935 pickups did not come with a rear bumper. What you see is an aftermarket farm bumper installed in it"s early days, and set up to pull farm equipment.
-Interior is the original type cardboard materials from Cartouche. Black carpeting and seats are custom. On Nov-25-18 at 18:01:20 PST, seller added the following information: -Wheels are original. They have been bead blasted and powder coated. The spokes inside the wheel have been sealed against possible leaking and new tubeless radial tires were installed.
- I will cooperate with buyer on shipping to assure shipping company has easy access to the vehicle. U-Haul rents car trailers for one-way haul, if you want to pick it up and take it home with you.
