Vehicle Details This is an very good running car selling way below the amount invested in it. The front end was completely rebuild with a new front spring and shackles, king pins, spindle bearings and races, drag link, pitman arm, tie rod, shocks, brake linings, rebuilt backing plates, rebuilt steering column. New US made steering wheel and chrome timing levers. New chrome shift lever and emergency brake lever. Trans tower was rebuilt, distributor rebuilt, rebuilt starter and Bendix. Zenith carb rebuilt with new gas lines and sediment bowl, gas tank flushed, new gas gauge, restored speedometer, Nu-Rex electric wiper, new Sparton horn, new cowl lights, Bright LED Headlights, new water pump, Excellent interior with all new Deluxe chrome crank and door handles and escutcheons, new floor boards throughout, new battery and battery holder. Complete New wiring harness throughout. New Stainless rear bumpers, and outside door handles. Steamer trunk is included. Very straight and solid frame. Body and fenders will need work and paint to make them show quality. All windows roll up and down effortlessly and the glass is excellent throughout. The car tracks perfectly straight with a firm positive feel at the wheel with no shimmy or wandering thanks to a totally rebuilt front suspension, and steering box. 4 new maintenance free original style shocks costing over $1100 have been installed, and provide an excellent ride quality. The front bumper has blemishes in the chrome and the paint job has imperfections, but still presents well. At some point in the past, the original engine was swapped with one from a 1928 Model A. As such the VIN assigned by California upon arrival here is that of the Murray Body Number. It would be possible to lift the body from the frame to get the original VIN, but I didn't go to that length. Suffice to say that this is not a numbers matching car. The brakes work very well. The speedometer is totally rebuild to new condition but it needs a new cable which I will install in the car, once the cable arrives. The top material is in good condition with no leaks.
