Vehicle description

1931 Chrysler CM6 Roadster:
After acquiring a controlling interest in the ailing Maxwell Motor Company Walter P Chrysler phased out the company and absorbed it into his new firm, the Chrysler Corporation in Detroit in 1925. In addition to his namesake car company, Plymouth and Desoto Marques were created, and in 1928 Chrysler purchased Dodge. In the early thirties he had established a reputation for powerful, reliable, and occasionally sporty vehicles. The CM Series in particular was a favorite among enthusiasts combining lightweight bodywork, a powerful six-cylinder engine and an able chassis. Engine has been rebuilt, I have installed all new period correct wiring and all new brakes.
This magnificent four passenger roadster has been maintained as original with one older repaint and interior. It"s furnished with dual side mounts, stay-fast convertible top, travel trunk, folding windshield, dual cowl lights and Trippe lights. This is a perfect driver, not a pristine show car but turns heads everywhere you go. This is a rare vehicle, about 1800 produced in the depression years. Engine and frame numbers are matching. Shown at the Henry Ford old car show and easy to drive at a decent speed.
Equipped with Chrysler"s well known legendary L-head 217 cubic inch six cylinder engine and floor shifted three speed manual transmission, both perform flawlessly, four wheel hydraulic brakes, original wire spoke wheels in yellow with period correct new tires this year. Today they are highly prized by collectors who prefer to drive their automobiles rather than just look at them, currently being offered for $28,000.00 USD. Please ask questions and/or come look at this car in person before bidding. I do have a lift so that you can look at the underside.
May trade for a Corvette: Must have less than 20,000 miles and be a one owner car, prefer a convertible with a stick.
I do not need help selling the car so please do not call me unless you are a buyer, thanks.
