Vehicle description
Offered is an early 1928 Ford Model A "AR". We bought the stored car with the intention of restoring it. Understanding the car is in its original un-restored condition and in full working order we t hought against touching the car. They are only original once and we didn`t want to be the ones destroying it`s originality. The paint, motor, gauges, brakes, wheels, lights, horn, speedometer, choke, throttle, advance, gas tank, interior etc, etc all original. I drive it locally most days with no problems.
A little history; Although Ford never actually cataloged the "AR" most know that this early 1928 "AR" is a bit different than the typical Model A production which continued through 1931. Subtle differences on the "AR" include a red steering wheel, hand brake on the left of the driver, a five brush Powerhouse generator (short length and wide diameter), and a few other things. Not entirely sure how many "AR`s" were produced in late 1927 and early 1928 but they are a bit rarer than the ones made and produced from late winter on. From early spring 1928 on, the steering wheel went to black. The braking system completely changed and the emergency lever moved to the right of the driver and some other changes. For us just another reason to not destroy the "originality". We don,t even wash it for fear of changing it.
So , we are selling it as an original. We are experienced shippers world wide. We will deliver "enclosed" to most US East Coast locations. We will assist in any shipping needs including port deliveries. We will protect the vehicle while its in our hands.
