Vehicle description
This is an ultra rare 1927 (first year) Reo Flying Cloud Mate, The Flying Cloud was the first car to use Lockheed"s new hydraulic internal expanding brake system. In April 1927, Reo introduced the Mate as a companion model to the Flying Cloud. With a Continental engine, artillery wheels, and a different pattern of curved louvers from the Flying Cloud, coachwork is done by Murray. T his car is in excellent shape. We painted her in original two tone green and black and chrome-plated the bumpers and redid the carpet when we acquired it around 20 years ago from Frank Phillips of Phillips Petroleum Co, in Missouri. The car has been in museum for 43 years now. The leather seats are original and in fair shape for the age, unrestored. All parts are absolutely original and in pristine shape. Hasn"t been cranked for 20 years like most of our cars. but she has been running before hibernation.
