1982 FORD F-100 SHORTBED CUSTOM: This is a former Army National Guard truck bought in 2016 and sat for 5 years after purchasing. My neighbor purchased this from the individual after realizing that he wasn"t going to get around to it. I some how ended up with it continuing to get it back on the road.
I"ll list some things that have been done in the past year.
MECHANICALS: New front wheel bearings and pads ( disc brakes),New carburetor and air cleaner, New coil, New ignition solenoid Good DIE HARD battery, Rims replaced along with new tires, New muffler, All exterior light lenses replaced marker, signal, taillights, tag lights.
ENTERIOR: New dash cover made by COVERLAY, New seat cover ( Original seat has good foam and has a 5" rip in the drivers side). The fuel gauge, emergency brake, radio and gear selector does not work. This truck is manual steering, power brakes and automatic. The heater works good, Seat belts work with a little work and their is a middle belt. The windows roll up and down as a 82 FORD would. All the glass is good for this year. Overall the inside smells good and clean!
BODY: Being a 82 FORD with 14,000 miles it has sat a lot. It seems the drivers side has seen the brunt of it, the worst part of the infamous rust is on the drivers side, which is really not that bad. The inside rocker panel, and bottom door along with upper inside drivers door. ( I"ve tried to take pictures of this) The top of the rear wheel well has some rust, which has been filled.( neighbor) Passenger corner cab has some issues has been filled ( neighbor) Rear of hood around the hinge area on passenger side has some rust. The truck has it"s dent"s and dings, but overall very solid and very little body work to be done. This would be a great platform for a street rod, daily driver, or for someone to use it simply for a truck.
The last picture is the truck when it was purchased in 2016, the letters on the door were sanded off when the owner received it. This vehicle starts, runs and stops.
BONUS: also included that will be placed inside the vehicle is the following; New master cylinder new rear brake shoes 1 New rear brake drum, New patch panel for drivers side rear wheel opening and passenger ( not that it needs it for passenger).
I have tried to describe this vehicle to the best of my knowledge.
Clear Virginia title in my name stating actual miles being 14,007 at time of title, mileage may go up as the vehicle is being driven.
